A Diary with 7 numbers for 7 ways to prepare for your 'new normal' in 2021 - number 3

Welcome to Video 3:  7 ways to prepare for your ‘new normal’ in 2021.

In Video 3 we continue looking at 7 ways to prepare for your ‘new normal’ in 2021, what that could look like, and how to prepare and plan for the life you would love!

Have you watched

Video 1: Your Dream:  what would you love your new life to look like?

and Video 2:  Your Core Values – what’s most important for you in your ‘new normal’ for 2021

So now here’s Video 3. Setting Priorities – Choosing the important over the urgent:

The Parable of the Big Rocks, Pebbles and Sand

You may have heard the story – but have you applied the Truths it teaches?

There are many videos that share the parable of the Big Rocks, Pebbles and Sand.  They demonstrate that if you take a glass jar and fill it up with Sand, and then tried to fit in Pebbles on top, and the Big Rocks last   there is not enough room for it all to fit in.  (Sound familiar?)

But if you placed the Big Rocks in first, then the Pebbles would fit into spaces around the Big Rocks, and the Sand would then fill up the remaining spaces. It would all fit in comfortably.

This illustration is a parallel for our own lives.  We need to get the Big Rocks ( the most important things)  in first, then the Pebbles (the demands that shout the loudest) must fit around them, and the Sand (all the other busyness)  can fill the remaining space.  This is then a Balanced Life – and that takes Intentionality!
